Starting on Monday, March 25, residents who normally put their garbage and recycling bins in the alleyways in these locations will need to put them at the curb in front of their homes through the duration of this project.

Waterline and sanitary sewer improvements will begin later this month in two different alleys. The first one is located in between Indiana Avenue and 5^th Street, and runs from Cherry Street to Louisiana Avenue. The second alley is located in between 5th and 6th Streets and runs from Cherry to Hickory Streets.


The City of Perrysburg has contracted Kyle Sherman Excavating for this project which will involve replacing approximately 5,200 linear feet of the existing 4” watermain with new 8” watermain, installing new fire hydrants, replacing 1,700 linear feet of sanitary sewer, and alley paving.  Due to the location of the utilities and narrow width of the alleys, the contractor will need to remove trees, shrubs, bushes, etc. in the right of way to perform the work.

The tentative start date for this project is late March, and the project is planned to be completed by the end of the year. All work is weather permitting.
