Contractors for AT&T, Buckeye Broadband and Omni Fiber have been active throughout the City installing fiber optic cable. You may notice the flags and paint in the right-of-way and/or easements. The flags are there to mark utility lines (see color codes in photo below) so that they are not damaged during construction.

The City has been working with the companies and their contractors to ensure they are complying with our standards for the safety of residents. City leaders have identified reasonable work rules such as on-site inspection, on-site supervision, increased and clearer public communication, and ways to reduce the negative impact to neighborhoods and the traveling public.

Each company has been notifying residents prior to beginning the work. Notifications include signs in areas where they will be working, letters in the mail, or door hangers on homes. Residents can reach out to each company directly with any questions or concerns:
