2023 Police Employees of the Year

April 17, 2024

Two employees of the Perrysburg Police Division have been honored for their dedication and outstanding service. Officer Stephen Loar was presented with the Officer of the Year Award and Amanda Stidham was presented with the Civilian Employee of the Year Award during the Tuesday, April 16 City Council meeting.

“I believe that we need to acknowledge those employees who exemplify the mission, vision, and core values of the Perrysburg Police Division,” said Police Chief Patrick Jones.

Officer Loar has been with the Perrysburg Police Division for nearly four years. He serves as a Subject Control Instructor, Bike Officer, Field Training Officer, and has attended additional training in Community Crime Prevention.

“Stephen displays genuine enthusiasm for the job and not only provides a high volume of work, but also high-quality work,” said Jones.

Amanda Stidham has been with the City since March of 2021 as a communications officer who also serves as one of the city’s Communications Training Officers. Chief Jones says Stidham is known for taking the initiative to improve the capabilities of staff and looking at ways to improve how business is conducted.

“When she is asked for recommendations, she willingly gives input for policy and procedure changes,” said Chief Jones. “This input is well thought out and she can back her recommendations with sound reasoning.”

Stidham’s award comes during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week which honors public safety telecommunicators for their commitment, service, and sacrifice.
